This is a 2 part question all relating to social icons on the home page.

I have chosen a static home page with a centered menu. Even though I have URL’s entered in social networks in the customizer, they are not appearing next to my menu. They had at one point but are no longer showing up. Can I get them back?

In addition, is there a way to remove the sharing icons that are appearing just above the footer image on my home page? I have already experimented in Sharing under the Tools menu but cannot find a solution there. If I cannot remove them, how do I control them? There are some icons showing up that I do not use, like pinterest and google + for example, so I would like them to not be there.

    Thanks so much!

It may also be helpful to mention that I am not using this theme for a blog so I understand that some of the things I’d like to see happen just aren’t possible with this theme. Thanks again!

    Hello.

Under header options the social icons next to the menu can be turned off, perhaps its that, or it could be something caused by the edits made to center the menu since the theme does not have such an option built in.

Social sharing buttons can be removed by deleting their respective anchor elements from the part-social-sharing.php file, this should be done in a child theme.

Similarly you can remove lines 29-31 in the page.php (again in a child theme) to remove sharing buttons from pages.
