Social Counters not updating

    Thank you for the great plugin!

    I only have one issue. The counters are not updated until I delete cache. I’ve changed the cache period to 12 and saved settings but still not updating. Once I delete the cache, counters are updated. The site uses W3TC. Is their a compatibility issue b/w W3TC & APSC?

    Hi there.

    Thank you for writing in.

    You need to deactivate the W3 total cache.
    Even if we clear the cache in the plugin Social Counter, W3 total cache plugin will not allow refreshing the site.
    Please try deactivating the W3 total cache, and check the site with the cache interval that you have set in the plugin.

    Hi Shane, thank you for your response. So it looks like Facebook is the only counter not updating. I just checked the counters on the site and Twitter counter did update, so did the number of comments. However, Facebook counter did not update.

    Disabling W3TC is not an option and it doesn’t seem to be the issue since only one counter is not updating. I see others have posted similar issues with the Facebook counter so perhaps it is something with the APSC plugin.

    Hi Shane,

    I don’t understand why this issue needs to be discussed privately and not via this public forum. If you have a solution to this issue, shouldn’t you make it available publicly?

    Anyhow, it seems I’m not the only one having this issue. The last 3 support threads are about Facebook’s counter not updating and it looks like you’re asking everyone to email you privately. I’m a bit confused as to why.
