I installed and activated plugin. I added an rss feed. I dont know where to find the content/full text. There is no widget and no short code. So do we display the content on our blog?

  • 1) “The CyberSyn admin doesn’t show articles. You must be confusing it with some other plugin.”
I JUST EMAILED YOU SCREEN SHOT

    2) “Yes. Till the cron URL was not opened. ”
PLEASE EMAIL ME THE CRON URL IN ITS ENTIRETY. MAYBE I AM USING A CORRUPTED/INCOMPLETE URL

    BTW: is the cron command this entire line: 0 * * * * /usr/bin/curl –silent http://www.mysitedoman.com/?pull-feeds=beece28b2af42a52ad8103cf0fd972db

    OR some part of it?

That’s a feed preview. It doesn’t show WP posts. Please re-read my posts above. I have explained it already and not even once.

BTW: is the cron command this entire line

Yes, that is the cron command and I wouldn’t post it to public, because it includes a secret parameter.

You have already posted it above. The URL starts with “http://”. Please find out more here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Uniform_Resource_Locator

Please delete the command from this thread.

When I put the cron URL in my browser all it did is take me to my blog homepage. Lets just forget it. Thanks for your help.

Yes, it does show you the blog homepage. What did you expect to see? When CyberCyn adds new posts by cron (outside the admin panel), it doesn’t show any reports to public. This is obvious IMHO. I don’t think you want other to see which exactly feeds you are syndicating etc, right?

… darn thing hasnt updated over 2 hours after turning off cache plugin.

That response is completely unhelpful. If I am being dumb, trust me so will 95% of people that try to use this plugin. We have been going back and forth on this for days. It is not me. With due respect, it is your plugin and your support style. It is far from intuitive and your explanations are often incomplete and largely unhelpful. All the time we have wasted on writing could have been spent by you to set everything up correctly. Every excuse has been addressed, including cache plugin. Now what? Your plugin is not pulling feeds. It shows last Update 3 hours ago despite that I have tried 3 times to manually pull. Neither auto, cron nor manual pulling seems to work. I checked in the “Posts” in admin and none of the stuff I see in cybersyn “preview” is posted. Last post was 5 hours ago from another plugin.

The plugin works fine and is adds new posts to your site (I have checked it by myself and emailed you the results). The only thing you had to do is to keep my settings (described above) and just let CyberSyn do it work by schedule (don’t post anything manually and don;t interrupt it). But if you are going to ignore my advises (like you did with the default settings for post thumbnails) and if you don’t want to learn the plugin, then I can’t help you, sorry. Please use some alternative solution. Hope it will fit your needs better.

DUH … I MEANT THAT IT TAKES ME TO MY HOMEPAGE BUT DOES NOT DISPLAY THE ARTICLES WHERE THEY WERE SUPPOSED TO BE. NO ARTICLES. NO UPDATE. I HAVE JUST SENT TO SCREEN SHOT OF THE HOMEPAGE SHOWING WHERE THE POSTS ARE SUPPOSED TO DISPLAY.

“The plugin works fine and add the new posts to your site (I have checked it). “. HOW DID YOU CHECK IT? WHAT IS SO DIFFICULT ABOUT TELLING ME WHERE EXACTLY U CHECKED IT? SEND ME A SCREENSHOT AND URL TO CHECK. I JUST SENT YOU A SCREENSHOT SHOWING THAT NOTING IS POSTED. SO MAYBE IT IS POSTING IN THE WRONG CATEGORY ETC. BUT IF YOU SEND ME A SCREENSHOT OF WHAT YOU SEE AND URL I CAN VERIFY.

YOU SAID IN #8515860: “Everything works just perfect and I can’t see a single problem there. You can check it by yourself. Make sure that at least one feed has “now” in the “next update” status column and open the cron URL above in browser. Your site will be displayed just like usually and another 5 posts will be added.”

I DIDNT TOUCH ANYTHING. BUT THE PLUGIN HAS NOT POSTED ANYTHING IN ABOUT 6 HOURS. SO WHAT GIVES? AND NEITHER OF THE FEED SAYS “NOW” IN NEXT UPDATE. THEY SAY “ASAP” BUT THAT’S WHAT IS THERE FORE THE LAST SEVERAL HOURS.

    SO WHAT GIVES?

Just anything. E.g. your cron was set incorrectly, so it doesn’t pull the proper URL. Actually there can be a lot of issues, but that’s definitely not a problem with CyberSyn. Because I’ve checked it at your site – opened the cron URL in the browser manually.

Seems you are doing something wrong at your end. Please read about cron here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cron
