    I spent five hours trying to figure out why my plugin to allow HTML in the author box wasn’t working, only to find it was the result of esc_html on the template part itself. I edited the template part, but now it’s pointless because anyone plugin update will revert back to displaying the author description without HTML, which means authors can’t include a link to their social.

    It’s just annoying. Otherwise, it’s mostly good.

    Just royally sucks that I can’t really use it now because this “tiny” flaw is a huge deal-breaker. I loathe when theme developers remove organic WordPress functionality, even if it’s not to put into a premium design copy. It’s like breaking something that wasn’t broken.

    If you mean this file and line number: template-parts/content-author.php line 29
    then either you can override that template for now or wait for our next update we will update in the next version.
