  • Hello,
I’m currently using openticket for a few weeks now and i love it, despite that there are 2 things i would like to change, I wan to change ( Reserve some tickets:) to say (Buy Tickets) and the (Reserve button) i want it to say (Buy Now)
i tried editing the php file but when i refresh the page it shows the new title for a few seconds then it went back to it’s original text.

    Hey @andre2jm,

Thanks for the complements. Also, it seems you have a question about how to change the verbiage. There are two locations that you would need to edit, in order to make the change permanent and universal. One location is the ‘non-javascript’ template (which sounds like the location you edited), which controls the display of the interface for those users without javascript enabled. This file is: templates/post-content/event-area.php. The second location is in the javascript templates, which are used in the ‘ajaxy’ style interface. These can be found in file inc/venues/event-area/post-type.class.php around line 200.

Down the line, we will be making all of these into templates that can be simply overridden by copying a file to your theme and making the needed adjustments. In fact, you can already do that with the non-javascript version. And currently you can actually edit the template for the javascript version without modifying the plugin itself, by hooking into the ‘qsot-event-frontend-templates’ filter, if you are interested in making your changes persistent through updates.

In any event, thanks again for the complement, and keep an eye out for future versions that allow the template override idea for all the javascript templates as well.
