Duplicator is Amazing!!! I never imagined that moving my WordPress site to another webhost would be so easy.

Here are all of the steps that I did to move my WordPress site to another webhost server with Duplicator.

1.) Installed duplicator plugin on the WordPress site that I wanted to move.
2.) Created WordPress backup with Duplicator. Very easy. Then downloaded the backup file and installer.php file to a folder on my computer.
3.) Uploaded the backup file and installer file to the root directory of the website on the new server. You do not need to install WordPress on the new location. The installer.php file will do it all.
4.) Logged into the Cpanel on the new location. Created the database and user.
5.) Ran the installer.php file. It then asked me for the database name, username, and password. I entered the requested info. Then let it do its thing. Took a few minutes. Then done. Took me to the WordPress login page. As soon as I logged in, the duplicator plugin automatically deleted the installer.php file, backup file, and a few other files that it created during the installation process.

That was it! The website at the new location was an exact duplicate. I then logged into my Domain Registrar account and updated the Nameservers of my domain name to the new server. Waited 24 hours before I deleted my WordPress site from my previous Webhost’s server and then canceled my Account with them.

I would give Duplicator 10 stars if I could. Unfortunately, 5 is the most I can give. I wasn’t looking forward to moving my WordPress site to another server. Thought it would be a major pain. Duplicator made it very easy to do.
