So easy to configure and use

I use a VPS for my site and while I have SMTP mail working, it wasn’t always reliable for me. I didn’t have a WordPress problem it was that mail just wasn’t reliably being received from my VPS.

This plugin solved that for me. I followed the easy to use setup wizard and checked out the video for obtaining OAuth 2.0 authorization for my Google account. I had set up that authorization in the past but the video and wizard made it literally a walk through the park. As an added bonus I get to see a log of the mail sent as well as a session transcript.

Technical people love to see log data. 😉 When something isn’t delivered I can see a log for why an even resend the email if need be.

The only thing I’d like to see is better multisite integration but even on multisite this plugin works. I had to configure for each site in my network but that was easy.

This is a well written and easy to use plugin. If you need notifications working, if you want to receive mail from your WordPress installation, if you want to use OAuth 2 (you do) then you can’t do better than this plugin.
