Per another, and now closed thread here in the forums, I attempted to edit the theme functions.php file to remove the time/date line at the top of the Snow Summit themed site I am building. Though I cut precisely what was indicated, I seem to have completely broken the site. I had saved the original .php code in its entirety and pasted that back in, but it is still not working. Both updating the file or visiting the site in another window yields:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected $end, expecting ‘{‘ in /home/content/17/8614817/html/wp-content/themes/snow-summit/functions.php on line 607

    (the site is at temp.aquamarinecomm.com)

What do I do??? EEp. Thanks…

  • Try deleting the theme and then re-uploading a fresh copy.

That was precisely my first course of action to do, but I cannot navigate to any other part of the dashboard without getting that error. I can’t even visit the site or get to a log in from another browser.

Try switching to the default theme by deleting your current theme’s folder inside wp-content/themes using FTP or whatever file management application your host provides.

That worked. *whew* Hosed theme deleted, reinstalled. Not messing with that .php again.

    Thanks so much!
