  • I’m having the same issue, using WP v5.0.2 and Yoast 9.3.

We apologize for the trouble you are experiencing with our plugin. Sometimes strange behavior may be caused by a plugin or theme conflict.

Please provide the answers to the following:

    1. Have you performed a conflict check? If not, please do so. Did you discover a conflict?
    2. Does the issue occur when using a default theme with only Yoast SEO active?
    3. Is the issue specific to a certain part of your site, like posts, products, categories, etc?
    4. Check for JavaScript errors with your console.

If you find any JavaScript errors related to Yoast SEO or if there is a conflict with a plugin or a theme, you can create a new GitHub issue for our developers. Please report the issue to a third party developer as well.

If you didn’t find any conflicts or errors, we think the issue is specific to your site. We’d need to investigate further but are unable to do so on these forums. You can purchase Yoast SEO Premium and receive our premium email support so we can help you further.

Thanks, I’m only experiencing the issue on products (not pages). There appears to be JavaScript errors on the products relating to Yoast. I’m not familiar with how to raise a GitHub issue though. I’m getting the same issue using both Edge and Chrome, if that makes any difference. Thanks

Can you share a screenshot of the javascript error? We suggest you perform a conflict check to see which plugin is triggering the error with Yoast SEO.

The fastest way to rule out conflicts is to deactivate all non-Yoast plugins and switch to a standard theme like Twenty Seventeen. We recommend using the Health Check & Troubleshooting plugin as it allows you to run a conflict check without affecting normal visitors to your site.

If you are unfamiliar with checking for conflicts, we wrote a step by step guide that will walk you through the process. You can find it here: How to Check For Plugin Conflicts

    Hi,

I have the same issue. The YOAST metadata editor is blank when I edit products. It’s working fine on other post types.

    I have WordPress 5.0.2. PHP 5.6.39, Yoast 9.3.

I did the troubleshooting check and it’s a theme conflict.
My theme is X by Themeco. X and Yoast worked together well in the past years, this is a new problem.

What to do now? (I will switch back to Yoast 9.1 but I hope I can use 9.3 soon.)

Oh, the X-theme is what we are using too and I don’t I can switch to another theme for that, hope the Yoast SEO team will find a solution for it soon since so many people using the X-theme and cornerstone out there.

For now, I switched back to v9.1

    Thanks!

    Hi,

I checked the link in Github, it mentioned the workaround is using the latest WordPress which are people having that same problem already on the latest 5.0.2?

    WORKAROUND
It appears the issue resolves if you use the new Gutenberg Editor plugin: https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/gutenberg or update to the newest WordPress.

We have the same problem. Snippet editor is blank. Disabled all other plugins and problem persist.

Using WordPress 5.0.2 & Yoast SEO Premium 9.3 and Kallyas Theme.

Reported the issue in separate thread aswell.

We hope this will be fixed soon.

    @mapperkids1

Just update to the latest X theme and the problem will be solved. 🙂
They just released an update to solve the Yoast and X theme conflict.

Updating to Xtheme v6.4.6 and Cornerstone 3.4.6 is expected to resolve the issue: https://theme.co/changelog/#theme-pro-2-4-0-theme-x-6-4-0-cornerstone-3-4-0
