[resolved] Smush.it generates error when uploading pictures (11 posts)

I'm using this plugin with Enfold theme (www.kriesi.at) but whenever I try to upload an image (no matter its size) I got an error message. I dismiss it, go to media library and find my image there. Go back to my page and insert the image from library.
If I deactivate Smush.it, uploading works fine.
    Check compatibility is 100%.
I also have All In One WP Security.

  2. Hi @gianmarizzi,

Thank you for your question and sorry to hear of the problems you are having.

whenever I try to upload an image (no matter its size) I got an error message.

From where are you uploading the image?

Could you please show me the whole error message you are getting by copy pasting it here?

Also please tell me which version of WP Smush.it plugin and WordPress you are using.

    Best Regards,

  4. Hi @gianmarizzi,

Thank you for your detailed reply.

Could you please try using default WordPress theme like Twenty Twelve and deactivating all other plugins as displayed in the flowchart on the following page to find out which theme / plugin is conflicting with WP Smush.it if any?

I did what you told me (deactivated all plugins and activated default WP theme) but nothing changed: I got the error message.

  6. Hi @gianmarizzi,

I could not reproduce the same issue on my test site using the same settings that you have.

Please try using the browser uploader instead of the multi-file uploader and let me know if that makes a difference for you.

The solution you're suggesting is for uploading using the media library, but my issue regards uploading from a post/page.

  8. Hi @gianmarizzi,

Yes the solution that i have provided is for uploading using the media library.

Is it working fine when uploading images using the media library?

Can you please try enabling WP_DEBUG mode and debug logging? To do this, just go to wp-config.php include this:

You might already have a line for WP_DEBUG, so just make sure it's set to true. This will create a log file under wp-content/debug.log with detailed information.

If you'd like to avoid end users seeing error messages, you can include this as well:

    define('WP_DEBUG_DISPLAY', false);

This will prevent errors from being displayed, but you can still find them in the log file. For information on this, checkout this wpmu.org article.

Let me know what errors if any you are getting!

I did what you told me but it displays only an error regarding a widget:
PHP Deprecated: Function ereg() is deprecated in /home/xxx/public_html/wp-content/themes/dt-the7/inc/widgets/flickr.php on line 69

  10. Hi @gianmarizzi,

Thank you for sharing the debug output.

Try implementing the solutions provided on the following page.
