# Smushing error

 * Hi,
 * I updated WP Smush plugin to ver. 2.6.3 on May 8 and it worked fine untill today.
   I upload an image and it’s not smushed automatically and when I click on “Smush
   Now” I get this error: “Error posting to API: 500 Internal Server Error”.
 * I updated the plugin to ver. 2.7.1 and the problem remains.
 * I checked with my hosting and they didn’t see any problem with them.
 * Can you please advise what to do to solve this.

 * I am getting the same error whether I bulk smush or manually smush images. Was
   working fine yesterday, no longer works today. I see this question come up often,
   but no public solution. Thanks!

   It should be fixed now, it was a temporary glitch.

   not working for me, still showing the 500 error?
 * EDIT: It was only happening to 5 photos, the rest are being smushed, so it’s 
   all good I guess. Thanks!
