Smush doest work, backend can not open

Hello, after 4.0.3 update Smush doesnt work. The backend is not shown, only line by line.
Can not use it. Need help.

Hi @rainer-r, we would be happy to help you with this if you can provide some more information. What do you mean by “only line by line”? Also do you see any errors when you set WP_DEBUG to true?

Thanks for sharing the screenshot to get a clearer idea of this; it seems more like a conflict with another component that’s completely blocking the Smush backend from loading.
Here, I would like to share a few options for you to try:
1. Try checking if the browser has any console errors in the red colour text. Right-click the same Smush Backend Page > Inspect > Click the Console tab, then refresh the page. For more information, you can refer to https://developer.wordpress.org/advanced-administration/debug/debug-javascript/. Please share the logs and a screenshot with us.2. Can you please downgrade by downloading any recent version of Smush and see if the same issue is reported there from here:
https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-smushit/advanced/.3. Would you mind creating a Staging site? If the site hosting server has any features, then great; otherwise, you can try this plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-staging/.
4. After creating the staging site, log in to the staging site and check if you still get the same issue there. If yes, deactivate all the plugins and set the WordPress theme to WordPress TwentyTwenty Five. This way, we will try to narrow it down to the component (Plugins or Theme) from which this issue originates.
I’m suggesting this test because on my test site, I tried installing the latest version of Smush and the free version of the Minamaze theme, and I couldn’t replicate the issue.

I understand that the issue occurs only when the MinaMaze theme is active on the website, suggesting there might be a conflict causing it. I checked again on my side to see whether the issue could be reproduced, but I was not able to observe the same behavior.
This is the theme that I used at my end to test: https://wordpress.org/themes/minamaze/
However, please note that we could only test this using the free version of the theme, as we do not have access to the Pro version.
If you are using the Pro version, could you please provide us with a .zip file of your theme, so we can test this further on our end?
Please upload that file to any file sharing service like Google Drive or Dropbox and send us the download link to this email address – wpsupport@incsub.com – following the below-mentioned template.

We received an update from our Second Level Support team. They reviewed the theme code and confirmed that the issue originates from the Minamaze theme, not the Smush plugin. You can reach Minamaze Support at https://www.thinkupthemes.com/contact/ and provide them with the below-mentioned technical information for review and resolution.
The Smush plugin dashboard fails to load because of three specific bugs in the Minamaze theme’s admin code that break the WordPress admin area for the plugin.
Premature Script Injection (admin/main/options/00.theme-api.php): The thinkup_api_check() function hooks into init (priority 999) and can output raw <script> tags directly from a remote API response before the HTML document renders. This corrupts the admin page structure.Body Class Overwrite (admin/main/options/00.theme-setup.php): The thinkup_check_premium() function hooked to admin_body_class overwrites the $classes string ($classes = ‘thinkup_parallax_enabled’;) instead of appending to it ($classes .= ‘ thinkup_parallax_enabled’;). This strips all default WordPress and plugin-specific body classes, breaking CSS targeting.
Dead External Script (admin/main/options/00.theme-setup.php): The thinkup_input_verificationjs() function unconditionally enqueues an obfuscated script from a dead Dropbox URL (//dl.dropboxusercontent.com/s/pxxqg90g7zxtt8n/q67JXA0dJ1dt.js), resulting in 404 network errors.
