    @sayontan as requested… Here’s the OP:

    I hope you can help me…

    Previously I had Photonic parsing 12 different galleries through from Smugmug into portfolio pages and they were all working well.

    Suddenly, and clearly because of something I’ve done but not sure what, they’ve all stopped working. If you take the events page (http://elloydowen.com/portfolios/event-portfolio/) you will see that there is nothing between the title of the page and then the other portfolios at the bottom.

    The shortcode is as follows: [gallery type="smugmug" view='album' album='QStwHz' layout='random' caption='none' thumb_size='Small' main_size='XLarge' columns='4' count='100' more='See more...']

    The API and secret key are all working, and I’m able to view the Helpers, but for some reason, it’s no longer parsing as it should.

    Could you advise to rectify the problem? I’m not sure where to start!

    Thank you!

    On your page I see no indication that the shortcode is actually being called. That leads me to two questions:

    1. Did you recently change your theme, or did your theme recently start offering its own customization of the gallery shortcode?
    2. Did you recently install another gallery plugin?

    Try the very first option in Photonic, under Photonic → Settings → Generic Options → Generic Settings → Custom Shortcode. Specify a shortcode that you will be using (something that is not gallery). Then, in the shortcode example that you have pasted above, replace gallery with whatever you set in your option.

    Wow. You were spot on. My answer would have been no to all of your questions above, but clearly somewhere along the line I did exactly that!!

    Problem now solved and all galleries working again. Star.

    Since I’ve got you here, is there anyway of randomising the order in which the images are parsed or is the order that they are in the Smugmug gallery the only option?

    Many thanks though.

    No, there is no way to randomize things. SmugMug offers some sorting options, by date, position, caption and filename, however Photonic only supports the default, position. There is no sort option to randomize the photos.

    Ok – no worries at all, just thought I’d ask. Thank you very much though for sorting the issue.
