SMTP Error: Not Authorised (happened after changing password)

    Hi there,

    Firstly, awesome plugin. Worked fine for a number of weeks and alleviated a massive headache of mine.

    Unfortunately, over the last few days our emails on our WordPress site have ceased to work again and after checking the error log it appears to be caused by an authentication error.

    I actually changed the gmail account being used’s password recently and as far as I know this shouldn’t matter but I can’t help but think it might be related.

    I’ve tried creating new credentials and deactivating / reactivating the plugin but to no avail.

    Anyone have any idea how to get it back working?

    I had the same exact problem, couldnt work out a solution so I installed a new smtp plugin 🙁

    @constantvariable, This error must e coming from Gmail. Please do a fresh authorization and see how it goes:

    I’m having the same issue. After the account email password was changed the authentication doesn’t work.

    – I tried re-installing the plugin
    – I tried doing a fresh authorization from gmail setting up a new oAuth with new client ID and client secret. … it still doesn’t work.

    Help!?
