# SMTP error

 * I configure easy WP SMTP Form and when I do the e-mail test the following error
   appears:
 * CLIENT -> SERVER: EHLO [http://www.esvision.es](http://www.esvision.es)
   CLIENT-
   > SERVER: AUTH LOGINCLIENT -> SERVER: [credentials hidden]CLIENT -> SERVER: [
   credentials hidden]SMTP ERROR: Password command failed: 535-5.7.8 Username and
   Password not accepted. Learn more at535 5.7.8 [https://support.google.com/mail/?p=BadCredentials](https://support.google.com/mail/?p=BadCredentials)
   f31-20020a05600c491f00b003dc3d9fb09asm4837808wmp.47 – gsmtpSMTP Error: Could 
   not authenticate.CLIENT -> SERVER: QUITSMTP Error: Could not authenticate.
 * I use google worksapace for my e-mail accounts. I confirm you that the password
   is correct.
 * SMTP server: smtp.gmail.com

 * Thanks for reaching out and we’re sorry to hear you’re having issues connecting
   to the Google SMTP host using your Google Workspace account.
 * What comes to mind, is that you might not have generated an App Password. You
   can find step-by-step instructions on how to do that in [this article](https://wpmailsmtp.com/docs/how-to-set-up-the-other-smtp-mailer-in-wp-mail-smtp/#secure-gmail).
