SMTP connect() failed with local Exchange 2010

    We have our email on a local Exchange server running Exchange 2010. We have multiple offices and our Exchange server and the server running our WordPress were in two physically separate offices all connected via VPN, and in this scenario everything was working great.

    We recently moved the Exchange server to the same location as the server running WordPress, and now we get the error SMTP connect() failed when it tries to send out.

    We’ve double- and triple-checked the internal IP addresses, internal DNS, software firewalls, usernames and passwords… But it’s still giving this error.

    Any thoughts?
