I’m using the events calendar Free Version 2.0.11 and smooth slider Version 2.4.

Smooth slider is working great, super easy to use!

I’m thinking this is an issue with the Events Calender plugin, but hopeful for a work-around.

When I create an event, it has its own custom post-type (tribe_event), there is an option from smooth slider, like it includes on all posts or pages, to include the event on the slider. It works beautifully, adding a nice slide of the event that links back to the event page.

However, it also automatically adds another slide for the venue of the event.

When I look through the database I see that Events Calendar is also creating a post type ‘venue'(tribe_venue) which is called from within the ‘event’ (tribe_event) post type. So when smooth slider gets the event post from the database, it brings with it the venue post. I’d love to be able to separate these so I can add events to smooth slider.

Perhaps when the slider gets the event post from the database it would be possible exclude the post type (tribe_venue). I see at line 226 in smooth-slider.php where it adds posts to the slider, but I don’t know where to go from there, and I’m not much at writing PHP.

Another possibility would be to add a feature to the slider itself to exclude pages/posts/categories/types.

Anyway, perhaps its a long-shot that there is a solution to this, but anyone?
    thanks,
    Aja
