Smartslider hast a huge amount of possibilities…. just to name the dynamic generated slies. AMAZING.

But often – special on start pages – we use only a basic image slider. Looking into page speed optimization I ask myself if all the js and css code is needed to load for this image slider!?

So why not having a section within SmartSlider where I can define URLs like:

For each domain I can decide if I have sliders on it who needs full, medium or light functionality and with this full, medium and light code.

What do you think about this? Could this be an option to havve a better loading time?

    Hi @check2020de

Smart Slider 3 only loads those CSS and JS files which are required for the functionality of the sliders on the current page. So the files we load are as optimized as it’s currently possible.

If you have speed problems with your page, I recommend checking this article:
That should help you figure out the cause of the problem, and offer possible solutions.

    Sounds great!

This was just a generic thought from my end…. not that I have an real issue. What I see is, that there are several files which are over 100kb in total… and this just on a page with a basic image slider.

Sure, the files can get combined (which I do), but the fact that this amaount of code exist brought me to this thought.

Yes, these files are all needed to create the look and functionality of the slider you have on your site.

Looking at the paths on your screenshot, it looks like you’re using the Pro version of Smart Slider 3. In this case, if you have any further questions about Smart Slider 3, please contact us directly at:
