[resolved] Small problem with rendering in Safari (4 posts)

    Hi Tobias

I'm having a small problem with the rendering of the table in Safari. the table displays fine in Camino but in Safari the most right-hand column is too wide and the column next to it is squashed. I'm using Tablepress 'out-of-the-box' and my theme is twentytwelve.

Here's a screenshot of the issue:

    and here's the original page:

I also have an issue with responsive tables on iOS but I'll open a separate thread about that

    Hi,

    thanks for your post!

The last column has this width because of the link in row 27 ("Aranella"). When you scroll to that row, you will see that the link text in that cell is very long. This then forces a big width on the column, as Safari will not add a line break there.
To change this, just edit the link text of that link, and add a line break after the first slash in the link text (i.e. just press "Enter" there). This will wrap the link text into two lines, so that the column will be smaller.

    Regards,
    Tobias

Wow - thanks for the fast response. I should have considered the possibility of an extra long link.

Thanks for the really useful plugin.
