 * Hi there!
 * Quick question about the recipe “archive” section.
 * All my recipes are categorized as “Recipes”, therefore, they appear under [mywebsite]/
   category/recipes. However, when I make this the “slug”—it automatically adds
   it to the URL of future recipes posts. So, instead of [mywebsite]/chocolate-covered-
   cherries it comes out as [mywebsite]/category/recipes/chocolate-covered-cherries.
 * I do NOT want it to look like that (#2), and instead, look like #1 which is how
   ALL the recipes are written out on my site. If I want to transfer old recipes
   to use the plug in, it will essentially change the URL… no?
 * How in the world do I NOT have the archive “slug” show up in the URL? Not really
   sure why it’s even needed…
 * Thanks!
 * Noelle

 * Hi Noelle,
 * WordPress automatically adds the slug for custom post types but there’s a setting
   to remove it on the Recipes > Settings > Advanced page.
 * Could you try that one and see if it works for you?

 * Hi Brecht!
 * Which setting is this? “Use base CSS?”
 * Thanks!

 * I think you’re on the Recipes > Settings > Recipe Template > Advanced page. The“
   Remove Recipe Slug” setting is on the Recipes > Settings > Advanced page.

 * There’s also a plugin: [https://wordpress.org/plugins/custom-permalinks/](https://wordpress.org/plugins/custom-permalinks/)
   that allows you to do this 🙂

 * Great! Thanks! I’m glad the plugin allows you to change this, however, because
   I’m a firm believer in the less plugins, the better! 🙂
