• I previously created custom categories for the page and post list, where I can use those categories for testing, develop mode, etc.
    Before the recent WordPress updates all was fine. Now I see that the “slug” for the page or post title does not work.

    — Slug Field Box in Pages and Posts —
    The slug field box in the QuickEdit area for all post and page list, is suppose to convert all text entered into small caps, remove special characters and replace spaces between words with dashes.

    == Problem ==
    Slug field box does not convert text properly
    What occurs now is I can write any text in the slug box, Capitals, special characters, spaces, etc and no matter it does not get converted properly.

    == Conditions ==
    Occurs in Draft mode categories only
    Published Category works fine
    It does not matter the plugin, issue still occurs.
    All plugins deactivated, except Edit Flow, issue still occurs.
    Tested with WordPress default theme, issue still occurs.

    It looks like you’re seeing the issue since WP 5.5.x? It would be helpful if you can remember which version you started seeing this issue.

    Thanks again.
