Support » Plugin: Permalink Manager Lite » Slug being left as Undefined on Yoast preview

    Hi,

I actually left the same message on Yoast forum, since I’m not sure which one is the culprit…

I just realized I have an issue with the preview snippet from Yoast. It doesn’t take into account the slug entered as the post or page url and is left as “undefined”. When checking all the previously created post and pages, the “slug” area is left empty, and if create a new one same happened….

Thing is, I’m not sure when did this happened but I tend to believe it’s related to me trying your plugin. I wanted to change custom post permalink, but when I realized there was this issue with undefined slug, I decided to switch back to a previous state of my website, thanks to a backup. Only to realized that the issue is still there, so I’m now wondering what’s going on. Since I did a complete refresh including plugins and database, permalink-manager should not affect my website anymore right ?

Am I missing something here ? Why does this issue persist then ?

    Hi @rely28,

could you provide me with the sample screenshot? Does the issue persists when my plugin is temp. deactivated?

Actually, there is a chance that the slug was literally saved as “undefined”. FYI, you can use my plugin to display the native slug:

    Hi,

This issue still there even after I deactivated the plugin.

Here is what I got :

Do you mean it could have been saved as “undefined” because of the plugin somehow ? Because I’m sure it was there before.

    Hi @rely28,

my plugin does not alter or modify the native slugs, so I guess that the problem is somewhere else.

Could you check how the slug is displayed outside Yoast metabox? You can check it either with my plugin or via “Quick Edit” section.

    Best regards,
    Maciej

    Hi,

I’ve found the faulty ones, yes with an s. I’ve contacted the author of the plugins both from the same person, FYI, it’s Meow Gallery and Meow Lightbox, if either of these plugins is activated, the issue is there.

Thanks for your quick reaction, I’ll see what he can do about this.
