This support forum is a free service provided by Charleston Software Associates (CSA) for the Store Locator Plus and related premium add-on packages.
Please note that CSA is a solo act. That means everything you read here, all the software updates, the online documentation, add-on purchases, EVERYTHING is handled by one guy working at a home office. It is a LOT of work, so please help me help you by considering these items:
I am not online 24x7x365. I sleep. I spend weekend time with my family. I go on vacation. I go on business trips. Please be patient. I try to review the forum and respond regularly. I usually post when I will be away for more than a couple of days.
I do not know everything about WordPress or Google Maps. Heck, this plugin is so big I don’t even know everything that was put into it by the original author or Cyber Sprocket Labs (where multiple people worked on it, myself included). Thus, try to be as specific as possible.
Many issues are related to WordPress themes, other plugins, or even hosting provider settings for your site. When appropriate please provide information about your site. You should almost always include a link to your site when referencing a search form/map (front end UI) problem. Try to provide a link directly to your map page, especially if your site is not in English (I can read some languages like Spanish/French but not many). Sometimes it helps to mention your theme name & a link to where you got it.
Don’t be a pill. I do this because I enjoy it. Most people are very cool about things even when they have a problem. That is nice. Don’t be that “one guy/gal” that spoils it for everyone. Be nice, play nice. I tend to respond to the nice people much more quickly and always try to do what I can to make my software work on your site.

I am migrating ALL FREE SUPPORT to the CSA website.
During the next few weeks I will continue to review & post here but will eventually move everything to my own site forums.
The primary reason for the move? A few weeks back I wanted to reference an support post that was the best answer for a customer. It took me 20 minutes to find that post, and I knew exactly what I was looking for. I wanted the post because other people had some useful input on the topic.
Maybe there is a way to search JUST THIS FORUM for content, but I couldn’t find it. The UI is not quite as intuitive as I’d like.
So… I’m moving support to a CSA-specific venue. It will remain open and I won’t be killing posts I don’t agree with.
The only requirement is you have a CSA account, which means having some order on record. If not, anyone can “purchase” a free plugin and get access.
