Summary: this plugin does not slow down your site nor does it trigger a pagespeed error. It follows WP best practices in loading javascript.

The poster also did not contribute to finding a solution when asked for more information regarding this issue which we had responded to 1 HOUR after his initial post here

Google pagespeed tests will give you “suggestions” and show you how you might improve page loading times i.e. loading it asynchronously..

The javascript file in question contains the placeholder attribute compatibility fix and only affects action boxes.

The plugin follows WordPress best practices in loading javascript through the use of wp enqueue functions.

Running google pagespeed tests will generally place the script above in the “consider fixing” section under the “Eliminate render-blocking JavaScript and CSS in above-the-fold content” which is NOT A CRITICAL ERROR.

Yes, the script may contribute to a small percentage of slowing down the page loading but that can easily be fixed by using one of WordPress asynchronous loading plugins which is easily found by a simple google search.
