I used Jetpack only with Sharing, Photon and Stats and it have worked great for 2 month. But now out of the blue the site is slowed with around 4 seconds according to P3 (Plugin Performance Profiler). The only thing I have done that I can connect to this is added around 60 pages to the site with plain text and noting fanzy. What have changed?

Could you try to change your sharing settings? If you use the Official buttons, it may indeed have an impact on your site performance since each button calls resources from each Social Network you use.

Let me know if it helps.

This is a sharp business site and I cannot have it slowed or test to much there.

I removed “Jetpack” completley and instead use “Share Buttons by AddToAny” for now and I have no problem with this speed delay anymore.

Hope you find out what was the problem.

Could you let me know what your sharing settings were before you turned off Jetpack? What buttons did you use? Did you use the official buttons, or another button style?

    Thanks!

If I am correct I used the standard settings for sharing and the round design (circular buttons) with Facebook, Twitter, G+, e-mail and print. Without any hit-counters.

    Thanks!

The hit-counters are automatically added to Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn buttons as soon as you use one of the non-official buttons. If you’re having trouble accessing Twitter or Facebook resources from your network, that might have been what slowed your site down.

Starting with the next release, we’ll add a new option to use the non-official buttons without the hit-counters. That will improve performance on all sites using one of the buttons using the hit-counters.

    I hope this helps.
