# Slowdowns – Blank Pages

 * Just upgraded to WP 4.8.
    Wanted to continue using Shiftee but it causes the 
   site to produce blank pages or go so slow it times out. Tried with all plugins
   but Shiftee deactivated and same thing happens. This is new with the WP upgrade.
   Any ideas?

 * Hmm, that is interesting. I have tested with 4.8, and haven’t run into any issues,
   and I don’t know of anything in 4.8 that would cause problems.
 * Do you have access to your web host’s error logs? What do you see in the error
   logs when you get a blank page or a timeout?
 * What happens if you switch to one of WordPress’s default themes, like TwentySeventeen?
 * Do you have a lot of shifts? I am aware that if you have thousands of shifts 
   and don’t have particularly good web hosting, there can be performance problems.

 * Problem solved.
    Stopped using it. Couldn’t get any answers. Not switching themes.
   Everything else works and its the theme we want to use.
