# Slow WordPress?

 * Hello, my wordpress has been running very slow. The website loads fast but when
   i want to add new pages and such in the dashboard it all loads so slow and even
   why i try to manage pages and when i click on a page it goes slow. I usually 
   have to add alot of pages a day. Can anyone help me fix this slowness on my wordpress
   installation.

 * How many plugins are you running? Have you tried disabling a few and seeing if
   that helps?

 * Are you using an overseller on hosting? If so, change ASAP, cause your databases
   will be so slow and that you’ll need a faster web host.

 * try deleting your unused plugins, as I understand WordPress still checks to see
   if they are on (thus slowing you down) even if they are deactivated. If you’re
   not using it, delete it.

 * A hosting company who effectively try to cram too many accounts onto the same
   server to maximise their profits. The end result is that their users end with
   poor performing, slow, sites.

 * Personally, I’d be very wary of any hosting company that offers “unlimited data
   transfer”…

 * Ah alright. Also i tried to delete all the plugins i don’t use but it still seems
   to be going slow.

 * It is hard to debug the backend. You might be able to use some tools here, [http://tools.pingdom.com/fpt/](http://tools.pingdom.com/fpt/)
   to do some checking.
 * You do have a lot of images and data on the site so maybe your db is what is 
   slowing you down. Have you spoken to the host?

 * Alright my host says that they can make a page in like 2-5 seconds.I told them
   that me and none of my staff can make a page and with their response it doesn’t
   look like there going to be much help.
