Slow to load with Rich Counter

Re Sasch’s Rich Counter plugin. I am aware that plugins have the ability to slow a site loading but in Sasch’s description of Rich Counter it says “It not delay page loading” so I think I’m doing something wrong. With the counter plugged in my speeds on loading images slowed notably from what they do when I remove the counter. I include the web address.
