# Slow page load

 * I’m stumped. I’ve done this before and it worked just fine, but not on this site.
 * I should add that the site was migrated from one site to another, so DB could
   be to blame here….
 * I have a site that loads extremely slow when I follow the instructions to use
   a site address different from that of the install.

 * I also cannot get the site to load without redirecting from /index.html to /index.
   php. I get a 404 without it.
 * Here are the analysis from the subdirectory vs. root directory.

 * You should delete the index.html file and just use the index.php.

 * If I delete the index.html redirect file and just use the index.php I get a 404
   error.

 * I have deleted the index.html file.
 * I added the “Options +FollowSymLinks” to the .htaccess
 * Still nothing.
 * Any ideas?

 * Another odd thing… The Permalinks setting has index.php after the url in every
   selection.
