    When i use this plugin the start page of the wordpress admin dashboard is loading only after 10 seconds because of the blog widget of this plugin.

    With query monitor i got the following results:

    http request: https://www.adtribes.io/feed/
    cURL error 28: Connection timed out after 10001 milliseconds
    Plugin: woo-product-feed-pro

    wp_dashboard()
    wp-admin/includes/dashboard.php:235
    do_meta_boxes()
    wp-admin/includes/template.php:1304
    woosea_my_rss_box()
    wp-content/plugins/woo-product-feed-pro/woocommerce-sea.php:3295
    fetch_feed()
    wp-includes/feed.php:771
    SimplePie->init()
    wp-includes/class-simplepie.php:1317
    SimplePie->fetch_data()
    wp-includes/class-simplepie.php:1531

    Could you please fix this problem. The request is sent even if i disable the widget in the dashboard. At the moment i consider disabling this plugin because of this bug.

    Thanks in advance.

    I found a fix. You can remove the dashboard widgets (not just hide) with a command in the functions.php:

    // fix slow loading wordpress admin dashboard because of woo product feed pro blog widget which cannot load
    // https://wpbeaches.com/remove-wordpress-backend-dashboard-widgets/
    add_action( 'wp_dashboard_setup', 'bt_remove_dashboard_widgets' );
    /**
     *
     *  Remove WordPress Dashboard Widgets
     *
     */
    function bt_remove_dashboard_widgets() {

    	// remove_meta_box( 'dashboard_primary','dashboard','side' ); // WordPress.com Blog
        // remove_meta_box( 'dashboard_right_now','dashboard', 'normal' ); // Right Now
    	remove_meta_box( 'woosea_rss_dashboard_widget','dashboard', 'side' ); // Woo Feed Pro Blog Feed slow loading
    	// remove_action( 'welcome_panel','wp_welcome_panel' ); // Welcome Panel
    }

    This is a solution until the feed widget is fixed.

    Hi suiluj,

    Thanks for using our plugin and reaching out to us. We have pushed out a release yesterday (version 5.6.0) that should improve things and not wait for 10 seconds when for some reason the RSS feed could not be retrieved.

    Thanks for letting us know.

    All the best
    Eva
