• Hi- We noticed that our contact form all of a sudden is getting thousands of views per hour the day after we went live. It’s doing it on old and new server? When we are in Chrome I click on Inspect Element and it does this on every page and it keeps repeating ? I removed the contact form and it still does it?

Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 404 (Not Found)

We are not even using this file any where on site? The GoDaddy CPU is at 80% and site is loading slowly.

I don’t know what to do. Any help would be appreciated- thanks!!

Does the problem stop if you disable your contact form plugin?

Hi- can I disable and not have it mess anything up if that’s not the problem and then re-enable? ? I tried removing the form from the page but it didn’t work- thanks so much for your time- V

Well, if it’s a well-coded contact form plugin, you should be able to deactivate it and re-activate it without any problems. 🙂
