# Slow Loading Time

 * Hello,
 * My site has all of a sudden started to take 26s to load.
 * I have contacted my web host to see if they knew why, but all the came back with
   is;
 * “When trying to open your website, we are getting the following code prior to
   the site loading:
 * “Deprecated: Function create_function() is deprecated in /home/cluster-sites/
   1/w/whitelabelrm.com/public_html/wp-content/themes/whitelabelcom/inc/widgets.
   php on line 61 Deprecated: Function create_function() is deprecated in /home/
   cluster-sites/1/w/whitelabelrm.com/public_html/wp-content/themes/whitelabelcom/
   inc/widgets.php on line 163”
 * I believe this is part of the wordpress coding, and may be the reason it is slow.”
 * What coding would need to be changed as it was fine and I haven’t made any recent
   changes to the site.
 * I have also got rid of any unused plugins and this didn’t help either.
 * Any help would be much appreciated.

 * I see almost four seconds of TTFB — which indicates a fairly slow server.
 * Some things you can do:
 * 1. Ask your host to upgrade you to PHP 7.1 or 7.2. You’re using 5.6 and PHP 7
   is much faster.
 * 2. Install two plugins: [https://wordpress.org/plugins/autoptimize](https://wordpress.org/plugins/autoptimize)
   and [https://wordpress.org/comet-cache](https://wordpress.org/comet-cache). That
   will reduce the requests to your site and cache the contents.
