Support » Plugin: Photo Gallery by Envira - Responsive Image Gallery for WordPress » Slow Loading and Preloader Option?

I’m using Envira 1.5.0.1 on WP 4.5.2 with 256MB RAM on a Vultr server, and it’s loading images slowly for me. Is there a preloader with a spinner option or a lazy loader option I’m missing?

My images have been sized and reduced with TinyPNG, so they’re not all that large. I just have a giant blank spot of the page until every image loads. The lightbox images load almost instantly.

You can see the gallery here: http://45.63.66.170/StratComm/various-brochures/

Since you ask for steps, I installed the plugin from the WP repository, activated it, created the gallery (4 columns with thumbnails of 285×220) with images in my media library, and placed the shortcode on the page. It was the most basic of methods really.

    Thank you,
    Stanford

  • Hi Stanford,

Thank you for contacting us 🙂 We do have lazy load option in the paid version, in the Pagination addon. So you may wish to purchase Silver plan to use lazy load option: http://enviragallery.com/pricing/

In paid version, you need to install and activate pagination addon and then setup following:

Edit Gallery >> Pagination tab >> Load Paginated Items >> On Scroll (Lazy Loading) option.

    Thank you

Thursday’s release for both Lite and Pro versions will provide further performance improvements in loading, to resolve this issue.

In my case it is not the images.
The html is taking 15+ seconds to load. When deactivating Envira, the page loads immediately.

Multiple Envira Galleries on this page, it is slowing down this page a lot!

    Please help.
