• Hi guys!

    I’ve got a website that’s intermittently loading very slowly (20 – 25 secs) I’ve tried disabling all plugins and theme during the slow times and nothing improves. I keep getting the following error in the logs but after some serious Googling I can’t get to the bottom of it.

    [Thu Mar 26 09:01:33 2015] [error] AH01215: WordPress database error Unknown column ‘wp_postmeta.meta_value’ in ‘order clause’ for query SELECT SQL_CALC_FOUND_ROWS wp_posts.ID FROM wp_posts WHERE 1=1 AND 0 GROUP BY wp_posts.ID ORDER BY wp_postmeta.meta_value+0 DESC, wp_posts.post_date DESC LIMIT 0, 10 made by require(‘wp-blog-header.php’), wp, WP->main, WP->query_posts, WP_Query->query, WP_Query->get_posts

    If anyone has had these errors and managed to fix them please let me know.

    Thanks!

  • Hi, higgypop, & welcome. Could you provide us a link to your site, please?

    Hey Jackie, Thanks for getting back to me! The URL is http://www.kitchensinstock.co.uk/ Thanks!

    Hi, higgypop. Well, of course, because the problem’s intermittent, I didn’t get much indication. I could be totally wrong about this (it’s happened before lol), but my own instincts tell me it likely has something to do either w/your RevSlider, your Custom Lightbox, or your Instock theme, or some sort of incompatibility between those. Clearly you’ve got a lot of things going here, & the more you have going on, the more likely the chance there is of incompatibility.

    I don’t know whom you host with, but sometimes the control panel has an error log that can also provide additional information. Additionally, some plugins provide their own error logs, which are found in the folders in which they reside. You might wish to consider looking through your plugin folders to see if one of them is throwing errors.

    Intermittent faults are always the hardest to investigate, because they uh, well–are intermittent. But perhaps those areas I pointed to can provide us a start.

    I’ve got another project I need to work on now, but I’ll be checking back, though it may not be for 10 hours or so. I realize that puts it at an absolutely ungodly hour in the UK, & I’m sorry about that.
