 * I’ve just switched to this theme, and love the functionality. However, the thumbnails
on the main page seem to be taking a long time to load. I’ve researched and tried
to find other ways to minimize loading time including:
    – lazy load – minimizing
image size – removing any unnecessary plugins – minimizing the max number of
posts on a page (ideally would like 12, but have reduced to 9)
 * For reference my site is [tipsychocochip.com](http://www.tipsychocochip.com).
My previous theme (cubic) loaded 12 images with no lagging/loading problems and
that was back when the image size was far more than 1280x960px. I am also using
a child theme because of some of the custom CSS that I’ve implemented. Any insight
   is appreciated!

 * Hi tip,
I took a look to one of your [thumbnails](https://www.dropbox.com/s/v7bsutuhmwtygt1/Screenshot%202016-09-23%2020.29.12.png?dl=0).
It is huge in size and MB also. That is why, all you images are loading so long.
1/ change size of the images to the proper size you need on the website. In this
case Im showing, the size of the thumbnail and it should be 320pxx320px Then
when you open that link it showes the real size of the image. For most cases
it is enough to have size about 1920×1440 keeping proportion 1920 is rule 1440
can be different When you resize all images on your desktop, put them to the
[TinyPNG website](https://tinypng.com/) to reduce size in the MB/KB …and now
you are ready to upload your images to right place on your website. You can also
   install [tinyPNG plugin](https://wordpress.org/plugins/tiny-compress-images/),
which can hold eyes on your pix size on the flow. Let me know Cheers TR

 * Thank you Tahoe for putting me on the right track! I didn’t have thumbnails set
for any of my featured photos, so after adding thumbnail support and using the
Regenerate Thumbnails plugin, loading seems much faster and more what I would
have expected. I might begin to use TinyPNG to further optimize, but the thumbnail
regeneration was really what cleared up the issue.
