# Slow Ajax script

 * So i test my site speed and the biggest factor in the speed is the AJAX:

 * Is there anyway to speed this up? As you may know, site speed is mission critical
   for Ecommerce sites.

 * I’d recommend having a look around at the various WordPress SEO / Performance
   plugins. You’ll find some that concatenate and minify all your scripts etc which
   will help improve this.

 * Thanks, I will give it a try.
 * Or perhaps creating a child theme would be the best solution and i can do it 
   myself, because wouldnt a plug in create more junk?

 * Whether you do it yourself in a child theme, or use a plugin, the same amount
   of ‘junk’ will be required ;p Personally I’d save yourself a bunch of time and
   just use a plugin. Something like MinQueue should do you just fine; [https://en-gb.wordpress.org/plugins/minqueue/](https://en-gb.wordpress.org/plugins/minqueue/)
