• Hi there,

My website & the admin panel is extremely slow at the moment! It is almost impossible to edit the site. I tried to deactivate all the plugins, but it doesn’t help.
The hosting is also ok. I contacted them and they don’t have any problems. Also, my other WordPress site (without the update) work perfectly.

    Please look into it !!

    WordPress.org Admin

This is normal after an upgrade of any sort.

WordPress uses cachebusting URLs in the javascript and CSS lines for all the various pages. When you update the version, the version number changes, which causes those URLs to change. So everything has to be reloaded from the site, instead of being cached in your browser. This means that a lot more HTTP requests occur to get the new files.

Normally, this is only slow for one or two loads of any given page, until your browser has all the new files cached. If you have any other caching systems or plugins, then they sometimes can cause additional slowdowns and other such things for a while longer, as they rebuild their caches too.
