I use slimstats on my wordpress site, and I’m truly very happy with it.
But the other day I had to backup my database for some maintenance, and discovered that slimstats already uses more than 20MiB of database space. The total database is now almost 30MiB and still growing. In a few months I might not be able to import a backup anymore because of import restrictions from my web hosting provider.
The table xx_slim_stats is the biggest, and still contains data from the moment I started using the plug-in. (More than 400 days ago) How can that be, while the ‘Store Data For … days‘, in the general settings tab, is set to 120 days . Am I doing something wrong here, should not all data, from 120 days and earlier, be deleted through a cron-job?

    Kind Regards,

    Eric

  • I believe I am also having the same problem.

I have been using the plugin for quite some time now. I’ve noticed as well that no matter what I set the “store data for…” the xx_slim_stats table keeps growing. I’m currently set at 60 days.

Thank you in advance for any responses.

Can you guys see what is the oldest pageview recorded? It’s on your WP SlimStat Dashboard, inside the box ‘About’.

    Thanks,

In the About WP Slimstat box it says “Oldest pageview: 26 September 2012”.
And indeed you’re right the entry before that date are deleted by the cron-job. so I’m afraid I looked at the wrong table row then. My mistake… I must have a lot of pageviews then, for the table to be 18MiB 😉

    Thanks for you’re quick response…

Okay, thanks. A vote for my plugin would be a nice way to say thank you 😉
