    Hi,

    Thanks for the appreciation 🙂

I see by default, and through the use of the CSS you provided and re-arranging of the order of tasks I can show just Facebook, G+ and Disqus. That’s awesome!

Seems, you are talking about Social Commenting here.

BUT, what purpose is the Social Login Master Control for?

This option turns ON/OFF the Social Login icons at your website.

I managed to get the associated API codes and such for FB and Twitter and turned it on…but what then?

You can enable Social Login icons at login/register form, comment form from Advanced Configuration section at Super Socializer > Social Login page in admin area. Using these icons, users would be able to login using their social media accounts.

Plus, how would I get Twitter to show? Would love to allow folks to be able to post using their Twitter identities.

You can select Twitter in Basic Configuration section and then enable Social Login at default comment form from Advanced Configuration section at Social Login options page.

That’s the thing. I’ve repeatedly used variations of what you’ve mentioned and I still don’t see Twitter offered as an option on the page where the comments box exists (within my site that is.)

I’ve tried, Opera, Chrome, Firefox and Edge and nothing…although I recall seeing the icons briefly flash before disappearing; don’t recall within which browser that happened.

‘and would what you’ve mentioned worked irrespective of my having gotten the API Codes?

And Thanks for the quick response. 😉

    PS…Unless it’s a plugin conflict?

Would you let us know your webpage url where you have enabled comment box?

Here’s a dummy page with comments turned on:

Social Login icons appear on default comment form, which you have hidden following the instructions at the link http://support.heateor.com/how-to-disable-default-comment-form-from-social-commenting/
Remove that CSS from Custom CSS option and you would be able to see default comment form as well as the icons.

    Okay kewl!

But what I’m trying to figure out now is how to disable required email/name in lieu of Social login.

Meaning, I don’t mind folks wishing to register…BUT, it seems that they’re still being demanded for an email even after logging into the social network.

Trying out multiple variations between the WordPress Settings and the Super Socializer settings in as far as that’s concerned. Still haven’t found the right combo.

Nevermind, for now decided to opt for not having the default comment form and instead having the Facebook and G+

Didn’t care for Twitter’s interface suggesting that the site would be able to do this and that with the user’s account. Most folks would scare away quickly with something like that.

Anyhow, many thanks for your time and help.

Just sent you a Hamilton in appreciation. Wish it could’ve been more. 😉

    Thanks for the Hamilton 😉

But what I’m trying to figure out now is how to disable required email/name in lieu of Social login.

By default Twitter doesn’t provide email address of the user. That’s why our plugin prompts user to specify their email, if you have enabled Email required option in Advanced Configuration section at Super Socializer > Social Login page in admin area. If you don’t want this, disable that option. But then a dummy email address (like, 354958547***@twitter.com) would be saved in user’s profile.
If you want, you can whitelist your Twitter app to fetch user’s email address by submitting the form at following link:
