slideshow was working fine but now is super slow

The photo gallery/slideshow at the link was working fine but not it is super slow. The photos are on Google photos. I tried re-sizing the photos smaller and crunching the photos, etc., none of that helped to increase the speed.

If I create a new slideshow with only one album as opposed to many albums, then the speed is perfect.

Your page loaded up in less than 3 seconds for me, so I am not exactly sure of what you are seeing at your end. I tried this on different devices – a mobile, a Windows desktop and a Mac virtual machine, and the results were comparable.

I do notice that you seem to have a plugin that is interfering with the overlays (it is putting up a video icon on each of Photonic’s thumbnails).

you see the slowness when you go to the URL above and then click on one of the photo albums, for example, the album at the link below.

I will start disabling plugins one by one and see if I can find what is causing the video icon overlay. I assumed that icon was from Photonic.

The second link leads to the same page and doesn’t do anything (probably because the URL shortener is corrupting the URL). So I am unable to comprehend the issue.

Anyway, since you are using LightGallery, see if this LightGallery bug applies to you.

A change to “10” for the slideshow speed seems to have it working now.

THANK YOU! I know the first thing I should have done is to start disabling plugins. You mentioned that one of the plugins seemed to be interfering with Photonic, it was Limb Gallery (see link below). I disabled the Limb Gallery plugin and now it’s working fine.
