 * Hi Stephan,
    In earlier versions, the slides used to whizz backwards after the
   final slide, but this no longer seems to happen – they just slide forward to
   the beginning.
 * Is there a way of making the old ‘whizz backwards’ function accessible as an
   option?
 * Many Thanks,
    Simon

 * Hi Simon,
 * Technically, it would be possible. However, there are some major disadvantages
   in doing so. At the moment it doesn’t matter how many slides there are in the
   slideshow, it only has to calculate move two. This greatly improves the slideshow’s
   performance. If the slideshow would need to slide back to the beginning, it would
   have to calculate all slides in the set amount of animation time. This would
   cause a lot of lag, even more when your website is responsive.
 * From a programmer’s perspective, it would be ugly to implement. When doing an
   animation, the slideshow only knows about the two slides that are animating.
   If the slideshow would have to scroll back to the beginning, all slides would
   have to be looked up and put in line for animation.
 * Did you like the ‘whizz backwards’ animation because it felt more natural, or
   are there any other advantages in doing the animation like that?
 * Best regards,
    Stefan

 * Hi Stephan,
    That’s odd – as on my website (chromaforge.co.uk) it already does
   this ‘whizz backwards’ as you will see. (running version 2.1.23)
 * On my new site (hushhushcompanions.co.uk), it merely forward slides back to slide
   1. (running version 2.2.1)
 * What are your thoughts now?
 * Thanks

 * Hi Simon,
 * Version 2.2 and higer runs on a completely renewed script to be able to support
   responsivenes. An often requested feature was to have a continous loop, which
   was easy to implement by default and very lightweight at the same time.
 * Version 2.1.23 is the last version to run on the old script, which explains why
   it slides back to get to the first slide.
 * Of course I’m willing to bring the ‘whizz backwards’ animation back into the
   slideshow as option in the admin. It has a lot of disadvantages though, so I
   need to know what the advantages of this animation are.
 * Best regards,
    Stefan

 * Hi Stefan,
    Thanks for the clarity. Well from my point of view, this is merely
   a personal preference, so my plan now is to retain the older version script for
   sites where I want to use that feature, then you don’t have to worry about the
   technical constraints that you mention.
 * Many thanks for a great product, and for your very good support.
 * Best,
    Simon
