    Hi.
    I have searched the forums, but couldn’t find an answer to my problem. I’m not a professional website designer, but have some decent computer skills, so I hope you guys have some answers for me that I can use.
    I am running the “Delicacies” theme for my home-based bakery. http://www.firebrickbread.com the slideshow for my bread part is working great. Now I’m setting up the pizza end of my business at http://www.firebrickbread.com/pizza and can’t get the pictures in the slideshow to consistently display at the right size. On some computers it displays correctly (like on my iPad), on others it zooms in and only shows the upper left corner of the picture. My IE settings are at 125% – when I change it to 100% the pictures in the slideshow display fine. I have had friends check who had to go all the way to 50% to get the slideshow pictures to display correctly.

    Is there anything I can do to fix this? Again, there are absolutely no issues with the bread website… I have made sure that all of my settings (at least the ones I’m aware of) on the pizza website are the same as on the bread website, but I still don’t get the correct size pictures displayed.

    Any help will be greatly appreciated.

  • It looks like the issue is related to the way the images are being given to nivoslider. On your Bread website, they look like this:

    <img src="http://www.firebrickbread.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/04/Cranberry.gif" alt="" title="#sliderCaption1" style="display: none;">

    But on your Pizza website, they look like this:

    <img src="http://i2.wp.com/www.firebrickbread.com/pizza/wp-content/uploads/2015/01/Lavosh-closeup.gif?zoom=2&resize=524%2C327" alt="" title="#sliderCaption1" width="524" height="327" src-orig="http://i2.wp.com/www.firebrickbread.com/pizza/wp-content/uploads/2015/01/Lavosh-closeup.gif?resize=524%2C327" scale="2" style="display: none;">

    I think it’s probably the resize and scale parameters on the image src that are causing your problem.

    I looked at this post and it seems that this problem could be being caused by Jetpack. I also noticed that Jetpack is installed on your Pizza site, but not on your Bread site. Try deactivating Jetpack and see if that fixes the issue.

    I deactivated Jetpack – that fixed the size issue; thanks!

    On the other hand, now I have a black background where my Photoshop Mask is applied on the photos – any idea how to fix that?

    I had used Ewww Bulk Optimization in hopes of fixing the problem earlier – could that have something to do with the black mask now?

    The images in the slider are of a .gif fileformat — is there a reason for that? If you save them out of Photoshop as a flattened .png then they shouldn’t change black. It appears that is a problem specifically with the .gif fileformat. You can see that they are still black even if you just load the image directly.

    Ha – I remember that’s what I was supposed to do. My bad. I will change the format and see what happens.

    Great! Could you please mark this post as [resolved] ? Thanks!

    That fixed it – you’re awesome!

    Thanks so much for the help!
