Support » Plugin: Strong Testimonials » Slideshow pagination acting oddly after update to 2.28.2

I really love this plugin and the flexibility, but the update to 2.28.2 caused some strange behavior in the slideshow.

I had to roll back the plugin to 2.27.2, but I can provide a screenshot and describe the behavior for you.

The settings for the navigation are bottom controls with previous / play-pause / next, style buttons 1 and outside the testimonial frame. Version 2.27.2 is working fine on the home page and on this test page that I created to troubleshoot:

However, when I upgraded to version 2.28.2, two testimonials displayed, one on top of the other. If you clicked the previous or next button, the testimonials would slide halfway across the screen, horizontally. If you clicked the button again, they would slide a little more to the side. Keep clicking and eventually the screen was blank. You could not get the testimonials back until you reloaded the page. And then you would get the two stacked, rather than just one.

We’re using a child theme (Wellness Pro) with the Genesis framework and the Yoast premium plugin, but, as I say, 2.27.2 was and is working great. 2.28.2 not so much.

Any thoughts or suggestions for what’s happening and how we can resolve this would be greatly appreciated!

I don’t want to use an outdated version but with my client just launching this site, I don’t want her new visitors to see a problem either.

    Thanks!

Thank you for the details. My apologies; I inadvertently broke the slideshow when transition effect is set to “none”. I will work on it right away and be sure to test the slider extensively. Meanwhile, in 2.28, the fade transition effect over 0.1 second will give practically the same result as no transition effect.

I have fixed this in version 2.28.3.

However, there is a bug in the newest version of Firefox (57 “Quantum”) that will position the first slide slightly off. So I still recommend using the fade transition over 0.1 second instead of no transition.

Please let me know if you have any more trouble.
