Support » Plugin: Portfolio Slideshow » Slideshow not working – jquery conflict?

  • Resolved Morgan Kay

This looks like a really fantastic plugin, and I especially appreciate all of the clear documentation that comes with it.

I’m having trouble getting it to work, though. The “loading slideshow” graphic loads, and then the first image of the slideshow loads. If you click on the first image, it moves to the next one, etc. But the images don’t automatically cycle. (I’m still just starting to develop the site, so it’s pretty ugly at the moment.)

This might just be a jquery conflict, but I’m not using any other plugins that have jquery (other than a very simple widget plugin, this is actually the only plugin I have installed so far). I have commented out all of my own jquery scripts, and that didn’t help.

Any other suggestions? It’s late in the day and my brain is fried, so I might be missing something really obvious.

  • And, for what it’s worth, switching to twentyten didn’t help either.

Oh, yeah, braindead and missed something REALLY obvious. The slideshow doesn’t automatically cycle through the images, you have to change the “autoplay timeout” setting to something other than zero.

I really should step away from the computer.
