[resolved] Slideshow not working (3 posts)

Hello, I'm a total newbie to wordpress. I'm attempting to create a slideshow on one of my pages, and watched this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=99soYUtwmfQ

Everything worked fine until clicking on an image on the live page - it opened the image, but did not contain the slideshow buttons or functionality. I had to hit the back button to return to the page.

I'm using wordpress 3.5 with the twenty twelve theme.

    Here's my (temporary) site: arthur.ccadinc.com

I previously installed NextGEN, but have since deactivated & deleted it. I read some posts about jquery being installed improperly, but have no idea if this applies to my situation or what to do about it. I have a bit of php experience, but not much.

I tried switching to the twenty eleven theme, but that didn't work either.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks so much :)

    Thanks, but still nothing.

I downloaded the plugin, activated it, copied the code to the twenty twelve child and tried to copy it to the theme file. I'm now getting a parsing error.

I think I'm going to try to completely uninstall wordpress and start fresh. I have a feeling that trying some of the plugins may have messed me up. Thank goodness my brother-in-law isn't in a hurry for his new site!
