Slideshow/Filmstrip Random Order?

This has been a great plugin for us; many, many thanks for it and your great support.

I would like to create a slideshow and/or filmstrip consisting of all photos from all albums. Quite simple to do. But is it possible to display the photos in a random order rather than sequentially?

Right now I get all photos from the first album, then all photos from the second album, etc. For example, I am using the following shortcode:

    [wppa type="slideonly" album="#all" size="auto,250" align="center"]

Is there a method to specify random order? Thanks!

If you do not want to set the system default photo order to random (you can still set it different in all the albums), you can do it with inline settings, see: https://wppa.nl/docs-by-subject/in-line-settings/ on how it works and the prerequisits.

Example for you: (note: we now use short method shortcode, i.e. without [/…, but you can still use long form, but do not mix both types on a page):

    [wppa_set name="wppa_list_photos_by" value="3"][wppa type="slideonly" album="#all" size="auto,250" align="center"][wppa_set]

Thank you for the quick and informative response. Sorry to have bothered you; I should have spent more time looking at the documentation.

You are welcome. I can imagine that you can not quickly found what you need in the hughe amount of settings and docs.
