Since version 4.7.19, I cannot get the slideshow to function normally in IE8 or 9. It either will not start, or will only advance a couple of photos. It works fine still in other browsers.
IE8 throws up the following error message:

    ‘console’ is undefined
    wppa.js Line: 707
    Code: 0 Char: 5

Thanks for a great plugin, by the way!

Thanx for the report. It has been fixed (patched) now, please de-activate and delete the plugin and re-install from the plugins page.
You will loose no photos or any other data.

Thanks for the quick fix – brilliant!

I’m having the same problem as indicated above with my IE9 (it works fine in Chrome). I did what you suggested by deleting and reinstalling, but nothing changed. What else might I try?

Cleanup temporary internet files, this will force the new javascript files to be loaded.

I did clean out the temp internet files, but still no change. The slideshow ‘runs’ (that is, the photo descriptions change), but no photos show up after the first one, which disappears when photo #2 tries to load. Is there some other setting that I don’t have right?

    A link please…

Do you have a server side caching ptogram like WP Supercache or the like? If so, clear this cache also!

Here is a link to one of the photo galleries on our site (I’ve have several of them):<a

I first just pasted it into the message, now I’ve used the ‘link’ button above:

To my knowledge, we have no special supercache (although you are outside my knowledge area on that question).

Okay, I’ve fiddled a little more and have managed to get IE9 to work just fine with the photo gallery; my MSN Internet connection still does not display the slide show, but I have spoken with the MSN tech people and they say that it is a problem at their end (perhaps a future version will have the problem out of it). So, everything is working nicely with the slideshow on Chrome and also IE9. Thanks.
