Virtue
[resolved] Slideshow background for galleries (5 posts)

    Hello

    I am using the Virtue theme and I am wondering whether there is a possibility to change the background of the slideshow that appears when I click on a gallery.

    Right now the photo I click on a gallery opens separately in a slideshow that has black transparent background which colour (&transparency) I would like to change if possible (but still preserve the slideshow option)

    At the same time, i am wondering whether in portfolio items there is a possibility use a slider (like image slider, carousel slider) which also displays thumbnails for the photos it contains.

    The site is http://imagesandwords.ro

    Hope you can help,

    Best regards,

    Ileana

    You can change the color with css, adding this to your custom css box:

    .mfp-bg {
    background: #ffffff;
    }

    This lightbox does't have a thumbnail option.

    Thanks so much for the fast reply, i introduced the code and it worked.

    However, I still got a few questions:

    1. is there any way/ code to change also the transparency? (i would like it to be more opaque)

    2. since i changed this background color to white, i need also to change the color for the text of the caption/ title, since it is now the same color as the background :)

    Maybe you could also help with a code?

    3. about the carousel/ thumbnails - maybe you are aware of a plugin that you know it works for this kind of preference?

    Thanks,

    Ileana

    1. You can change transparency with this css:

    .mfp-bg {
    opacity: .6;
    filter: alpha(opacity=60);
    }

    2. You can change the text with this css:

    .mfp-counter, .mfp-title {
    color: #444;
    }

    3.
    I am not aware of a lightbox plugin that is responsive and has thumbnails. The key with the built in lightbox plugin is it's very mobile friendly.
