    Hi there,

After update the plugin to the 4.0, all sliders are gonne ๐Ÿ™

The version 3.2.3 is using other database tables than the new ones on the 4.0.

    3.2.3 database tables:
    – wp_huge_itslider_images
    – wp_huge_itslider_params
    – wp_huge_itslider_sliders

    and the 4.0 is using:
    – wp_hugeit_slider_slide
    – wp_hugeit_slider_slider

So the new plugin don’t take care about the existing data?

I think this must be fixed guys ๐Ÿ™‚

My customer is freaking out because he lost all the sliders and I had to downgrade to the 3.2.3.

    Thanks!

  • @kiwi3685 So can’t they simply issue a version 4.0.2 that will deal with the migration propperly??

@kiwi3685 I did that and it still does not work.
The table with images is missing, there’s just the backup.

Possibly, I don’t know. But the issue is not a code error really, just a problem caused by reverting to the older version. So easy to fix I see no need for another version update personally.

I don’t think the plugin uses an images table now. Previously that table (on my install at least) contained only links to the main media storage. So now they link directly without the table. I have only two tables (plus the three backup old tables): _hugeit_slider_slide and _hugeit_slider_slider.
Have your old three tables had names altered to add “_backup” to the end of their names? If so, then yes the migration did work, so perhaps you have a different issue?

Do you perhaps have a caching issue? Try clearing browser cache etc. (just guessing).

I expect after the weekend HugeIt support will be able to assist you. I found them very good to deal with.

    Dear v2006,

Our support team members have already replied to your emails. Please, check the spam folder if you have not received it yet.

    Thank you

Same issue.. went back to 3.2.3 for a fix. The client called/emailed in a bit of a panic but found this topic and temporary fix pretty quick.

Been a pretty good slider minus this snafu.

    Dear Huge-It Slider Image Support,

May you be able to help me with updating the tables from 3.1.98 to 4.0.1. The problems that others have had are the same as what I’m having. That is, that the sliders are showing just the loading-bar gif image (what shows when the images are loading), and not a slideshow of images.

Please help me as I have 23 Sliders on my client’s website:
    AAAfrica.net (sample page is here)

    Look forward to your reply!

Yes kiwi3685 that lil hack worked. Thanks a mil
