Slider works well – some questions

Nice work on the slider. I wonder if I am missing something? I would like to control the max height of the slider so that it is not shifting all the time, is there a setting for that?

Also the category posts show up in the slider but there is not a link to the post? How do I make it so that the slider image actually links to the post?
